Saskatoon Destination Marketing Hotels brings together many of Saskatoon’s leading hotels to support the growth of the city’s visitor economy.
Our members share a commitment to strong hospitality standards and to investing in Saskatoon as a destination for business, sport, and leisure travel. By working collectively, SDMH hotels help attract visitors, events, and opportunities that benefit both the hotel sector and the broader community.
How SDMH Works
SDMH operates through a voluntary Destination Marketing Program (DMP). Member hotels contribute a small portion of room revenue toward initiatives that grow visitation and strengthen Saskatoon’s position as a competitive destination.
Those funds support generating demand for Saskatoon for events, leisure travel, and visitor-focused initiatives delivered in partnership with Discover Saskatoon.
This model allows Saskatoon’s hotel sector to pool resources and invest in opportunities that individual properties could not pursue alone.
Where We Focus
SDMH investments support work that brings overnight visitors to Saskatoon and encourages longer stays throughout the year.
Key areas of focus include:
- Business Events and Conventions
Supporting efforts to attract conferences and meetings that generate significant room nights and introduce new audiences to Saskatoon.

Helping bring tournaments and championships to the city, which drive visitation and repeat travel.
